Manju

Manju is a popular Japanese confection, or wagashi. There are several different varieties, but this particular one is call mizu manju. Mizu means water. It is a typical type of manju for the  summer. The transparent exterior bit is made with kuzu starch, and the inner filling is with azuki beans and sugar.
